Exciting New Updates at the NEW Aiken Towne Park | Aiken, SC


Exciting news from the heart of Southside Aiken, South Carolina โ€“ the old Aiken Mall has undergone a remarkable transformation, now proudly known as Aiken Towne Park. The sign went up recently, marking a significant milestone in this ambitious project.

 

Over two years ago, we shared the master plan for Aiken Towne Park, where the developers set their sights on a goal for 2024. And here we are, with the opening of the first business this spring of 2024.

The first business to open its doors will be Chicken Salad Chick in April. And we've also heard that Tropical Smoothie is committed and set to follow suit as the second business to open. But that's just the beginning. We're eagerly anticipating the announcements of other food and beverage establishments, as well as additional retail options, all set to enhance the Aiken Towne Park experience. What businesses or restaurants do think are coming  or you want to see here?  Comment below.

Once the development is complete it is projected to have more than 250 apartments, a hotel, a park, dozens of new shopping options, and restaurants. What sets this project apart is the focus on creating a lifestyle destination. A walking track is being built, with plans for a park in the near future. Imagine a vibrant green space, perfect for public gatherings, small concerts, exercise groups, or simply enjoying a leisurely day out.

The idea is Live, Shop, Dine and Play. This project will truly benefit the Aiken area, adding a dynamic new dimension to our community. Exploring Shops on Laurens North in Aiken, SC


Welcome to the North End of Laurens, this is where our office is located. 

The vibe around this part of Downtown Aiken on Laurens Steet is a bit different. I would say more relaxing, less traffic, itโ€™s well worth exploring and has a neighborhood feel too.

There are some great places to shop and dine; in fact another new restaurant opening.

The Proper Plate, I heard they will serve Southern home-cooked meats and vegetables. The eatery will offer soups and salads along with casseroles that customers can take home to eat.


Whatโ€™s Cooking has that service too plus dine-in service for breakfast and lunch.


Letโ€™s continue our walk together, we want to visit a few places you need not miss.

At Cork & Cap- the owners Erin and James are passionate about the bottles of wine at their store. The other day my husband and I stopped in, and we were blown away with detailed information and knowledge provided on the wines of interest.

It is a great place for a group of friends to meet or it also has potential as a venue for special events.  The atmosphere is delightful. PLUS+++ FREE WINE TASTINGS: 12-3pm every Saturday! Just look for the yellow cottage and you know you have arrived.

Aiken Dry Goods is a Premier American Sportsman Lifestyle Boutique. I personally love this store. It carries many unique items not found in other places. Letโ€™s take a step inside and take a sneak peek.

Indigo Bleu a Creative Collective is a new shop downtown but has been around for a bit (fka Artisan Market). They sell handmade items and have workshops as well!
