Aiken
County is lucky to have FOTAS-Aiken, aka Friends of the Animal Shelter-Aiken,
unfortunately- especially around this time of year, the shelter experiences extreme
overcrowding (even with additions made) BUT FOTAS has come up with some really cool
programs to help these homeless animals become furever family members and try
to slow the number of intakes. These programs included: Home-to-Home, community
outreach, Doggie Day Out, out of area transfers and many others.
