Dog Gone Fun Video. Aiken, SC…LOW TAXES, GREAT HOME PRICES & A PET FRIE...

We all know Aiken is a charming community to live in and even a great travel location for families with furry friends but even Travelocity named Aiken the pet-friendliest city in the Southeast.

We wanted to provide you some great information and things to enjoy with your furry friends.

The great outdoors, hiking and walking trails throughout the Aiken area. Paw aching miles of trails in Hitchcock Woods, Aiken State park, community parks and Hopelands Gardens. In fact, take your dog to one the concerts held in the spring. He/she may be patting your head.

Stroll downtown Aiken…there are several sidewalk cafes, restaurants, even a brewery nestled in the heart of downtown Aiken to enjoy lunch, dinner, cup of joe or even a beer. You will find water bowls for your exhausted friend at most stops.

Many of the downtown stores have pet friendly policies and often have treats available. The Alley has several events like Amp the Alley and Farmers Market and sports dogs of all sizes. If you are in Aiken around Halloween do not miss the costume and Dog Parade.

Aiken Dog Park is a dog’s Hang out to meet new paw friends and be leash free.

This paw friendly town has a variety of pet stores in both downtown and Southside of Aiken.

Aiken is definitely a dog loving town. There is an abundance of canine-themed events, great nonprofits such as FOTAS Friends of the Animals Shelter. Don’t get caught barking up the wrong tree, branch out to Aiken and check out why all the tails are wagging.

Thinking of relocating to the Aiken area and have a dog…you will be Woofed with Aikenfidoism.

A big thanks to Downtown Dog for being so pet & human friendly business as well as letting us film in their store. Support our local businesses please.
