One
of the hottest features of a home is the bathroom especially the primary. Bathrooms
are one of the top reasons a home will sell.
If
you are considering remodeling your bathroom, here are five trends and comforts
to consider.
1.
It’s all about the Showers
Showers
are becoming larger and larger. Some choose to remove the tub completely to
increase that shower space. Dual heads, rain showers, LED lighting and built in
seating are popular features. Zero entry and wider openings to be more handicap
accessible are features also in demand.
2.
Free
Standing Tubs…the Opposite spectrum
Truly perfect for relaxation, long soaks and create the
perfect focal point in any bathroom. Although free-standing tubs are not a new trend,
we are predicting them to continue to be a sought-after feature even though
there are some who would prefer to ditch the tub.
3.
Wet Rooms…you may ask what is that?
That is a bathroom where all or most
of the surfaces are intended or can get wet. It is a very space-efficient
strategy, since it allows for more functionality. This home’s wet room
incorporates an open shower and tub. It’s really stunning looking and great use
of space. In some cases, a designer will choose to divide the bathroom into dry
and wet areas or everything can be within the wet room. The possibilities are
endless.
4.
Underfloor Heating Systems
Now
this is a bathroom feature to dream about.
Underfloor
heating can be used with a variety of flooring options but in a bathroom
with cold tile in colder months…toss your slippers aside onto a comforting
warm floor.
5.
Earthy Tones Return
Seeing
a trend away from gray and cool tones, we expect to see a continual increase of
earthy warm tones in accents, fixtures, tilework and accessories in bathrooms. Greens,
blues and browns are being seen more but in warmer tones.
There
are few more trends we are seeing and we happy to share especially if you are thinking
of doing renovation work. We certainly want you to make the best decision for
you to get the best ROI [return on investment] of your money. Reach out to us, we’re
here to help.
