“Veterans Affairs Removes Compensation Hurdle for Military
Buyers”. So, what does that mean to you as a veteran at this time?
#1| VA has a Policy Change:
The Veterans Association now allows home
buyers to directly pay their real estate agents, which removes previous
barriers to professional representation. This opens the door if there is no
cooperative fee being paid to the buyer’s agent.
#2 | Equal Opportunities:
This change ensures that veterans,
active-duty service members, and surviving spouses can compete fairly in the
housing market, enjoying the same advantages as other buyers. This is what I
think is most important is that veterans have equal rights as other buyers.
#3 | We Support Veterans:
The National Association of REALTORS®
advocated for this change to help veterans achieve the American Dream of
homeownership. Brandi, Vikki and the Aiken Homes Team support our veterans
another way with a REBATE program called “Military on the Move” aka MOM which
Meybohm Real Estate lets us offer to both our buyers and sellers we work with. For
more information on the MOM Program reach out to either of us or any of the
Aiken HOMES Team members. It’s a BIG decision, we know. We’re here to help!
